The Journey

From a Kid at the Piano to the Stage

I started playing drums at age five, every Sunday in church in front of 300 people. The pastor asked if I could learn guitar too. So I took guitar lessons, then piano. By the time I was a teenager I was leading worship, playing weddings with my sister, and spending every free minute making music.


I trained as a bricklayer in Switzerland, then moved to Munich to study audio engineering at SAE Institute. I worked as a live sound engineer, mixed front of house for live events, and eventually realized I didn't want to mix other people's music. I wanted to make my own. Today I produce, write, mix, and master everything myself as Crownd, coached by Marc Otten, the producer who shaped Martin Garrix's sound.
